Handmade equals more detail, and many more color options, than with machine-made rugs. It also means that no two rugs can be exactly the same. Our handmade rugs are made from synthetic fibers including polypropylene, DuraCord®, nylon and acrylic. These materials make for fast drying, non-absorbent, UV, mold, mildew and stain resistant rugs. Handmade rugs are ideal for outdoors as well as indoors because they have a cotton-like feel to them but still remain durable.
Handmade Rug Backing - The backing of handmade rugs is made out of woven polyester mesh instead of jute so the entire rug is of 100% synthetic material. The benefits of using a woven mesh instead of jute backing is the rug is mold and mildew resistant and cannot rot. The backing also allows for the rug to be skid resistant as well as to keep the rigidity of the rug for long lasting shape.

Machine-made rugs are machine woven using the latest in power rug looms. These looms are capable of a variety of intricate stitch patterns as well as up to five colors within the creel configuration. This allows up to five different color yarns to be used in each rug. The advantages of machine-made rugs are a quality and consistent look.
Machine-made Rug Backing - The process of machine woven rugs includes the addition of fibrillated polyester as the backing to the rug. Other machine woven rug manufacturers utilize the natural, non-weather resistant fiber, jute, in their backing. Our machine-made outdoor rugs are completely 100% weather resistant with no jute in the construction which can promote mildew growth.

Floor mats are similar to rugs in their use but are thinner and more lightweight. Two different kinds are available, Mad Mats and Koko Trends Mats. Mad Mats are made from pure polypropylene that is made out of recycled soda bottles, milk bottles, packing, etc. The polypropylene is then combined with state of the art conditioners and UV inhibitors to produce soft, resilient, colorfast threads. These threads are then woven to create the mats. The advantage of floor mats is that due to being interwoven, dirt and debris are easily washed away with a garden hose and no water will be trapped so there is no mold or mildew. These are great options for people who need something lightweight that can travel well or roll up easily.
Floor Mats - No Backing - All of our floor mats are reversible, but as shown with the Mad Mat on the right they are opposite colors from the front to the back. This great feature gives you two mats in one for double the enjoyment.

The Jellybean Collection is handmade out of 50% polypropylene and 50% acrylic with polypropylene backing. 35% of the material used in a Jellybean accent rug is recycled. These rugs are cushioned and soft for your feet to enjoy. Easy to clean just machine wash cold with like colors, no bleach and line dry.
Accent Rugs Backing - The backing of the accent rugs is made out of polypropylene. This backing has a special grip that holds the rug in place and keeps them from sliding.
