Imagine a bed made of individual plush pillows, like a collection of cottony clouds strung together like a quilt. Now imagine that same bed as a hammock.
Now quit imagining already, because that hammock is right here!
The fabric is two layers of all-weather fabric sandwiching a thick center of nonabsorbent polyester hollowfill fiber made from recycled plastic drink bottles; the top layer is the Sunbrella Canvas Iris color, while the back is a solid neutral DuraCord color. The most recognized name in outdoor fabric, Sunbrella is not only resistant to rot, mold, mildew and staining, but is also exceptionally colorfast, with a softness recalling cotton.
The hammock's pillowy contours are created by eight well-placed nickel-plated rolled-rim grommets, which have the added distinction of preventing rainwater from pooling in the hammock bed, draining instead quickly and efficiently.
The hammock bed is framed by two thick spreader bars of richly hued, deeply grained, unfinished South American cumaru, among the densest, prettiest, woods on Earth. Chains and hanging hardware are handsome, rust-resistant zinc-plated steel.
The Accord Koi Tufted Hammock includes an attachable trapezoidal tufted head-pillow of the same fabric and plush center of recycled polyester hollowfill fiber.
